How to use Pinterest for business

If you’re a blogger or online business owner, you need to be on Pinterest. It is the easiest way to get traffic to your blog.

SEO? It takes months to see results. Instagram? Hard to get engagement. Facebook is the same story.

But Pinterest is your best friend when it comes to getting traffic.

WHAT IS PINTEREST?

Pinterest is most often referred to as a social media platform.
This means that just like on other social media platforms, you can gain followers and have more people see the content you share that links to your website.

But Pinterest isn’t just a social media platform. It’s also a search engine.

Just like Google, you can optimize your pinned images so that when people search for something on Pinterest, your images are the first to show.

This makes it the ultimate tool for getting traffic to your website.

WHY SHOULD I USE PINTEREST FOR BUSINESS?

Check out some of these stats from Hootsuite:

  1. Pinterest users are on the site for longer. Active Pinners spend an average of 34 minutes per visit, longer than sessions on Facebook (33 minutes), Twitter (24 minutes), and Instagram (24 minutes).
  2. On average, a pinned image can live for seven months. That’s compared to the 7 minutes a tweet lives for!
  3. Pinterest has over 250 million monthly active users.  That’s essentially 250 million potential website viewers for you!

These stats prove the potential Pinterest can provide in growing your online business.

And I can confirm the power Pinterest has to bring blog traffic. My blog is only a year old, but I currently get between 200 and 300 sessions a day from Pinterest alone.

And this is not achieved with promoted pins. That’s right- you can be getting focused, engaged traffic to your blog or business for free.

PINTEREST FOR BUSINESS AND HOW TO USE IT EFFECTIVELY

Now you know why you should be using Pinterest for business, here is a step by step of how!

1. CREATE A BUSINESS ACCOUNT AND CLAIM YOUR SITE

This is the first step to using Pinterest for business.

People who are not using Pinterest for their business will have a personal account and will share random images they like.

But if you are looking to use Pinterest for business, you need a business account.

Having a Pinterest business account is free, and will give you access to Pinterest analytics. These provide insights into how many people you are reaching with your content, how many people you are engaging, etc. You can use these stats to engage your audience on Pinterest correctly.

Claiming your blog or website on Pinterest is free, and will mean that a link to your website will appear at the top of your profile description. This makes it easy for people to access your website through Pinterest.

Check out more about Pinterest business accounts including how to create one or convert your current account to a business one, and how to claim your website here.

2. APPLY FOR RICH PINS

Rich pins are a free pin format that provides more context about the image, by showing extra information directly on the pin. There are three different types of rich pins; article, product, and recipe, meaning whether you run a food blog or you’re selling products online, you can apply for rich pins.

You can read more about rich pins (including how to apply for them) in this Pinterest post.

3. CREATE A KILLER PROFILE

If you want to use Pinterest for business, your profile has to look good!

Use a high-quality profile picture, or your logo if a team runs your business. Make your business name clear and relevant, and explain precisely what your business or website has to offer in the “about you” section.

You can read more about how to create an amazing looking profile in this post.

4. MAKE RELEVANT BOARDS

Like on Instagram where all your images are posted on your profile, on Pinterest you have boards where you will store all your images.

I recommend creating 10-20 new boards that are relevant to what your target audience is interested in. So if you sell fitness clothing, have a board about fitness tips, a board for weight loss, a motivation board, clothing board, etc. Try to call each board something simple that people on Pinterest will be searching for, such as “Fitness tips.”

– Optimise your boards

Remember how I said Pinterest is a search engine? You can optimize your boards so that when people search for something on Pinterest, your boards come up.

In the board description section, write a couple of sentences explaining what your board is about. In these sentences use relevant keywords, but make sure not to keyword stuff.

So for a weight loss board, you can write something like “Weight loss tips and tricks to help you lose weight and get in shape. Get fit and lose fat today with these awesome health tips”.

5. JOIN GROUP BOARDS

If you are new to Pinterest, you will have hardly any (perhaps even 0) followers. I know I did when I started!

This means that when you pin an image, you’re not pinning it for anyone to see.

A great way to put your pins in front of more people is by joining group boards. These are boards where multiple people are pinning images. Group boards can be great for new Pinterest accounts, as you can join boards with thousands of followers and get your content seen by more people immediately.

I recommend only joining quality, relevant boards- especially ones where your images are getting repins. You will only find out if a group board is for you once you’ve been in it for a while, so I recommend just joining some.

You can find a list of 30 group boards for all niches here.

6. GET PINNING!

You’re ready to start sharing content on Pinterest!

I recommend if you have a blog, inserting images that are optimized for Pinterest into your blog or on your website. Then you can use a plugin that allows people to share the images on Pinterest, providing instant links to your website.

– Share multiple images

One common complaint I hear people make when it comes to using Pinterest for business is they don’t have images they can use in their posts or on their website.

I think this is simply not true. If you’re in a visual niche like beauty, food, or travel, then Pinterest is your goldmine.
And even if you’re not, you can simply add an image with your blog post title on and share that.

Plus there are even more different types of images you can be sharing- infographics, product shots, etc. You can use visuals and make Pinterest work for you, no matter your niche.

– Share optimised images

You can make sure your images are optimized to be shared on Pinterest. I’m talking about creating images that are optimal size, colours, content, etc.

I had a pin go viral recently, and it’s made a massive difference to my blog traffic. Making sure your pins look good makes a massive difference to whether your pins will go viral- you can check out this post for how to design images that go viral on Pinterest here.

I hope this post has shown you how to use Pinterest for business.
It is a simple way to get consistent traffic to your blog or online business. For free!

How To Build Links Like a True “White Hat SEO”

generate backlinks
So how are you actually supposed to do real White Hat SEO link building these days? This is a question I probably get asked more than anything else.

And to be honest, there is A LOT of misinformation on the internet showing you how to do link building that is not “WHITE HAT.”

I want to get one thing straight, purposely asking for links is against Google Webmaster Guidelines and is therefore not “white hat.”

The good news is that these days, you can generate massive ROI without manually building links. Today I’m going to share with you how I’ve been able to naturally build links and produce revenue without writing a single email, guest post, buying a PBN, and whatever else link builders do to build links and how you can too.

Sound good? Sweet, let’s dive in.

Build Authority Based On The Vulnerabilities in Your Market

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, SEO is marketing, it’s not magic. Keyword rankings and links are just a small part of marketing which will hopefully lead to dollar signs. So, if you could figure out other ways to bring in ROI besides ranking a webpage alone, wouldn’t you want to do that?

Competitor Research is Key

Here’s how you can identify vulnerabilities in your niche and how those vulnerabilities can lead to natural links and long-term assets. Take your top 3-5 competitors and see what platforms they are performing worst/best on. Figure out what is and isn’t working for them.

Are they targeting skyscraper (long form) content? Perhaps 10 minute Youtube videos with specific layouts? Are they doing Twitter outreach successfully? etc.  The point is, if you’re starting out and you want links, don’t reinvent the wheel, focus on building authority. In other words, try to first replicate what your competitions doing and then innovate, not vise versa.

Here’s an example: When I began my SEO agency, I started creating massive content on Youtube because the market on YouTube was super undersaturated in comparison to Google. Now I have 25k subscribers and over 1 million views on my channel and I generate clients, backlinks, reviews, etc. on a regular basis from just that asset alone. But that’s not all.

Because of the authority that I’ve generated on Youtube, I’m able to siphon traffic to new assets that I want to promote and make money off of such as Facebook groups, blog posts, courses, etc. And, I’m also able to use the authority and viewership I’ve created on Youtube to build links if I choose to simply by talking about the new assets I’m creating.

More on this in a second.

Value Value Value

If you’re struggling to get links, chances are you’re having a hard time showing your audience enough value for them to link back or share the content you’re creating. Or you don’t have an audience at all. That is why you need to set a solid foundation.

Look, it may sound basic but it’s extremely important for you to figure out who you’re marketing to and what they actually want in the first place if you haven’t done so already. At the end of the day, you need to realize this: You have two types of people who are going to see your content

  1. People who are going to buy from you

  2. People who are going to link to you Obviously there are a few overlaps here but for the most part, the people who are buying from you are generally not going to be linking back to you. So your content and authority building at first should ideally be targeting the people who are going to link to you.

Get it?

One awesome way to get links from these people is to do a roundup or an interview. I absolutely love the tool Pitchbox for this because I can get connected with some of the top experts in any niche around the world with just a few clicks. Take for instance the recent post I made “on the top SEO tools recommended by experts.” All of this outreach was done with automation and required very little effort to get the post published. Every single one of these tips came from people with websites and sometimes even big social followings. Not only do I get virtually free content from people who know a decent amount about the subject I’m getting them to write about but I also get the opportunity to potentially receive a link from them in the future since they were featured in the post.

Let’s take it a step further.

I also now have a direct line of communication to these people so if any of them have abnormally high authority in the industry I could even ask them to come onto my Youtube channel for an interview and then give them the video and the transcription afterward to put on their site with a link back to me. Again, this is a WAY better marketing strategy by creating connections and content rather than just focusing on reaching out to random website owners and asking for a link.

Create Something That People Actually Want To Recommend

If you really want to build links, figure out what your industry is actually lacking. It seems that some SEO’s just want to do the following:

  1. Do keyword research

  2. Find a high search rate keyword that looks profitable

  3. Build content based on some sort of guess for word count.

  4. Ask for links

  5. Hope that the page ranks.

This is a terrible strategy for a couple of reasons.

  1. If you want to rank for something you should really look and see what is already currently ranking well for that subject. It could be that the content is already formatted extremely well, includes thousands of words, video, images, comments, etc. and in that case, if you’re just throwing words on a page, that’s generally not going to cut it.

  2. You want to figure out why Google is ranking that page in the first place. Generally, it’s because the post is something that people actually really want.

Once you’ve determined these two things, you’re going to want to try and beat the average user intent and go above the average in regards to not just word count, images, video, etc. but by beating whatever the average expectation is for that post.

A good example is if somebody is looking for top gaming tips for “insert new game” and the best article on the market in some flimsy post about 3 ways to win, which isn’t even directly targeting what people are looking for, you could easily create an article talking about the top 5 gaming tips and probably rank that article without a single link.

However, if you want to build links, you would want to try to go above and beyond the normal expectation and create the top 50-100 gaming tips and BOOM now you have something extraordinary worth linking to. In terms of naturally generating links, obviously you’re not just going to want to create your content and hope somebody sees it, you will want to take the tips I mentioned, in the beginning, to bring in additional traffic. Here’s how I will end up promoting the post you’re currently reading.

First, I will request to get it indexed by Search Console on Google so that Google knows the content I’m writing appeared here first.

Next, I will create a video in which I will be reading this post and adding my own opinions and insights. Once the video is published, I will also add it back to this post to hopefully get the post to rank as a video as well in Google Search (making sure I add JSON-LD video markup to the post with a plugin I acquired).

Then I will take the video and publish it natively to my Facebook group, Facebook page, and personal profile. After I see if the video performs well, I will post the video to related other SEO groups.

Next, I will take this post and repost it natively to Reddit. Next, I will start a remarketing campaign on Facebook ads to target recent visitors.

Next, I will email my email list of 4k subscribers telling them to read the post and watch the video. Next, I will publish this post on LinkedIn.

You get the point. At the end of the day, my Youtube video or blog post may only get a few hundred views and rank on the fourth page of Google or Youtube at first.

But altogether my post on different assets is going to bring in THOUSANDS of views before it even ranks, which is going to GREATLY increase the chances that I receive a link or a share.

So there you have it, that’s how I do link building without actually going out and directly building links and how you can too. If any of this was unclear, let me know by leaving a comment and I will respond as soon as I can.

Until I see you next time, Happy SEO’ing!

Difference Between White hat and Black Hat SEO

Difference between white hat and black hat SEO

Today in this Competitive Era we are well aware of Doing Proper SEO on our Posts to Optimize it for Search Engines Like Google. But Do you think, you are doing it in a Right way? Peoples usually ask me if the SEO is Dead or Something because of the large number of Google Algorithm updates. My answer to them is “Google is just trying to get Rid of spam!”. If you are on the right boat, you don’t need to worry about these Algorithm updates, but if you are in a boat having a hole in it and you are hiding it then believe me you cannot protect it and it will sink soon. Google Have Some Guidelines according to which only those SEO practices that are white hat will survive with these updates or else your website having black hat SEO will get drowned entirely.   Of Course, you heard me Right. There are a lot of Websites try to trick Google with Black Hat Techniques, even they get success in it, but that success is not for Long. Whereas a white-hat SEO website take times to get success and it is worth for a long journey. In simple words, Google Hate Black Hat and Loves White Hat SEO. Usually, Landing Pages are your Home Page or can be some Internal page you created for landing purpose. Make sure to narrow down your niche.. the best you understand your niche the better you perform keyword research.

Do Rough Keyword Research

Once the Landing page and specific topics have been identified, the next step is brainstorming. Come up with a short list of keywords for each page or Page type. • You can also use Keyword Revealer to analyze a keyword difficulty and competition, and that’s what I prefer to use.
  • Add the keywords to a New List that has easy to go Competition, New websites ranking on the first page or low authority sites.

Finalize the List

Welcome to the Gutenberg Editor

gutenberg editor

Welcome to the Gutenberg Editor

Of Mountains & Printing Presses

The goal of this new editor is to make adding rich content to WordPress simple and enjoyable. This whole post is composed of pieces of content—somewhat similar to LEGO bricks—that you can move around and interact with. Move your cursor around and you’ll notice the different blocks light up with outlines and arrows. Press the arrows to reposition blocks quickly, without fearing about losing things in the process of copying and pasting.

What you are reading now is a text block, the most basic block of all. The text block has its own controls to be moved freely around the post…

… like this one, which is right aligned.

Headings are separate blocks as well, which helps with the outline and organization of your content.

A Picture is worth a Thousand Words

Handling images and media with the utmost care is a primary focus of the new editor. Hopefully, you’ll find aspects of adding captions or going full-width with your pictures much easier and robust than before.

Beautiful landscape
If your theme supports it, you’ll see the “wide” button on the image toolbar. Give it a try.

Try selecting and removing or editing the caption, now you don’t have to be careful about selecting the image or other text by mistake and ruining the presentation.

The Inserter Tool

Imagine everything that WordPress can do is available to you quickly and in the same place on the interface. No need to figure out HTML tags, classes, or remember complicated shortcode syntax. That’s the spirit behind the inserter—the (+) button you’ll see around the editor—which allows you to browse all available content blocks and add them into your post. Plugins and themes are able to register their own, opening up all sort of possibilities for rich editing and publishing.

Go give it a try, you may discover things WordPress can already add into your posts that you didn’t know about. Here’s a short list of what you can currently find there:

  • Text & Headings
  • Images & Videos
  • Galleries
  • Embeds, like YouTube, Tweets, or other WordPress posts.
  • Layout blocks, like Buttons, Hero Images, Separators, etc.
  • And Lists like this one of course 🙂

Visual Editing

A huge benefit of blocks is that you can edit them in place and manipulate your content directly. Instead of having fields for editing things like the source of a quote, or the text of a button, you can directly change the content. Try editing the following quote:

The editor will endeavour to create a new page and post building experience that makes writing rich posts effortless, and has “blocks” to make it easy what today might take shortcodes, custom HTML, or “mystery meat” embed discovery.

Matt Mullenweg, 2017

The information corresponding to the source of the quote is a separate text field, similar to captions under images, so the structure of the quote is protected even if you select, modify, or remove the source. It’s always easy to add it back.

Blocks can be anything you need. For instance, you may want to add a subdued quote as part of the composition of your text, or you may prefer to display a giant stylized one. All of these options are available in the inserter.

You can change the amount of columns in your galleries by dragging a slider in the block inspector in the sidebar.

Media Rich

If you combine the new wide and full-wide alignments with galleries, you can create a very media rich layout, very quickly:

Accessibility is important don't forget image alt attribute

Sure, the full-wide image can be pretty big. But sometimes the image is worth it.

The above is a gallery with just two images. It’s an easier way to create visually appealing layouts, without having to deal with floats. You can also easily convert the gallery back to individual images again, by using the block switcher.

Any block can opt into these alignments. The embed block has them also, and is responsive out of the box:

You can build any block you like, static or dynamic, decorative or plain. Here’s a pullquote block:

Things to Consider while Buying a Domain Name

While purchasing a brand new domain name, there are tons of elements to consider. Find out all the vital facts about buying a new domain within this report.

website

There are currently well over 300 million domain names worldwide. Consequently, in case you opt to get a new domain name, this may become the foundation for one of several billions of web-pages which are available on the net. But before you purchase your domain name, there are a number of things that you want to think about. Trademark rights are among the most crucial things that you want to believe about, but additionally, there are a couple aspects which may impact your SEO. Here, we’ve compiled all the critical details needed to get a domain purchase, such as a helpful checklist.

Are you Sure, You Know? What is a Domain?

A”domain name” is the frequent term used for your own domain name. Yet, as it might be too complex for everyday internet use to input an IP address from the search bar every moment, there are domains consisting of letters and digits. Domain names from the DNS are handled by registrars in various nations.

There are 3 Level of Domains:

  • Domain with the Extensions such as .com or .us are the TOP-LEVEL Domains.
  • Domain Names without the Extension are Second-Level Domains.
  • Domain Names having “www.” before the actual name are the Third-Level Domains.

To utilize a domain name, it has to be filed with the various registry. This is normally done via a hosting company that registers the domain name for you. To make a website on your domain name after, you will need”web space”. This is essentially storage area on a server which may be achieved with the internet and your own domain name.

Important Facts to Remember while purchasing a domain name:

Buying a domain name can be compared to buying land for construction. The domain name is the foundation for the site you’ll set up there in the future. Prior to purchasing a domain name, you must always pay careful attention to these aspects.

Typically, the domain name corresponds to the new name or business name of the purchaser. Because your domain name will be available globally through your site, you need to ensure that your domain name corresponds to a registered name, comprises a secure term or is quite much like a trademark.

  • Input your preferred domain name on Google. You will shortly see in the search results if a provider already has this title and if a similar domain exists.
  • This permits you to rapidly figure out if your domain name (without or with domain ) has been registered as a trademark.
  • For larger web jobs it can be very helpful to check a lawyer that specializes in trademark law.

LEGAL TIP: Buying a domain name doesn’t give you trademark rights to the name you bought. https://t.co/Pm0NKgBL3z

AIM of the Website

For picking your domain name, the objective of the internet project which will later be connected to it could be significant. Would you wish to produce an information site or an online store? Does the website focus on a place or can it be a global one? To get an internet store, the phrase”store” from the domain may be helpful, but a news site may incorporate the word”information” from the domain name. Nonetheless, this is largely an issue of taste.

Domain Name Extensions

The domain name is simply part of your domain name. Additionally, it includes a domain name extension. Prior to making the buy, you need to think about that extension is logical for you. If you’re selling merchandise or services in an internet store mainly in the united kingdom, the domain .uk is advised. If you would like to market your services or products globally, the generic top-level domain .com or even .org is logical. When picking country-specific domains extensions, it’s very important that you’re aware of any applicable requirements.

Prices

The prices to get a domain may fluctuate considerably. Highly coveted domains can easily cost a few thousand dollars.

When choosing a domain name, remember that not all characters may be displayed properly, specifically special letters or characters with accents.

Keyword domain name or imaginative title — does the domain affect the rank?

Anyone who purchases and registers a new domain name will mostly utilize their name. Your domain name becomes a part of your name. At precisely the exact same time, it doesn’t matter if you use specific keywords in the domain name once it comes to your own ranking. It’s more of a promotion choice if your domain name must include keywords or not.

As an instance, certain keyword phrases in the brand/domain title could provide a greater recognition value for consumers, such as deliveroo.com.

But, remember that you’re restricted with a key word domain so far as the deal is worried. By way of instance, in the event that you install an internet store for couches and title the domain sofa-shop. Com, you’re confined to the item. If you would like to broaden your range in the future, a specific name could be better.

Additionally, remember that moving a domain name when pasting is quite time-consuming, based on the dimensions of the site.

Conclusion

Besides the legal factors, marketing-specific factors also play an essential part here. Moreover, you need to focus your domain name in the marketplace where you’re likely to be busy. You can’t directly affect positions throughout the variety of a domain .
